Sparklers
The Sparklers are an inclusive cheer squad that includes special needs students in cheer and dance activities throughout the school year. Depending on the year and interest, the team comprises general education peer helpers who rehearse and perform with our team and volunteers who help with operations.

Sparklers helps our special needs population enhance social, communication, leadership, and physical skills, as well as get them involved in the high school and community. It also provides experience to those general education students interested in working with the special needs population.
The Sparklers cheer at selected football and basketball games, high hats events, and fundraisers such as the Heart of Duncanville 5k and Duncanville Fire Truck Pull and Special Olympics events and hope to compete in the Special Olympics Cheer Competition in the near future.
